Janice Gobey
Director
Janice has managed Boomerang's Melbourne office since it opened in 2005. She began her career with an international management consulting firm, heading up their recruitment team in South Africa for approximately five years, before being approached to join a global investment bank to restructure and head up their talent acquisition team. Prior to moving to Australia, Janice was responsible for setting up and running a satellite office specialising in international cross border search assignments. Janice's experience in Search covers the Australian, European and African markets.
Since moving to Australia, Janice has focused on senior executive appointments, specialising in the financial services and investment banking market. She has been particularly successful in helping investment bankers and strategy consultants make the transition to in-house corporate development and strategy roles across a range of industries. Whilst specializing in these areas, Janice experience has covered a wide range of sectors and functions.
Janice holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Industrial Psychology and Sociology and a Diploma in Human Resources. Janice combines her Search career with a passion for the Arts and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Visual Art as well as a Masters of Visual Art from the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne.
