Formed in July 2002 Boomerang Executive set out to compete with the world’s best search firms by delivering exemplary search campaigns in an equitable, honest way. Core to the strategy was to become Asia Pacific’s favourite search firm by treating everyone with genuine care and respect. Since then the firm has built a team of experienced, like-minded consultants.

To meet the challenge of hiring the best business leaders in the region Boomerang has built a full-time in house research team. Every consultant at Boomerang has the support of a dedicated researcher. Since 2004 the company has designed and implemented its own best-practice search methodology, based on worldwide research. In 2005 the company opened an office in Melbourne, and in 2007 in Brisbane. Boomerang retains its people with an industry-best equity scheme, ensuring continuity for clients, and a collaborative team environment.

In 2009, we added a new Board consulting division to our business.  Boomerang Board Consulting connects Directors with the best fit Boards and provides innovative Board evaluation methodologies designed to offer Boards the value and insights they seek.  The Boomerang Board Consulting team has been involved in conducting Board evaluations nationally for the past ten years.  They have travelled globally researching Board best practice methods, authored internationally and continue to be instrumental in the evolvement and development of contemporary Board evaluation models.  These contemporary Board evaluation models have been designed to be globally friendly and can be applied across any culture.
